7up, personally i believe to be the greatest drink ever. As of 2006, 7up is 100% natural.
7up was originally created by Charles Leiper Grigg, in his company "The Howdy Corperation" in 1929.
Until 1950 the drink had an ingredient called "Lithium Citrate" a mood-stabalising drug. This made it a very popular patient medicine. Even though the drink has been re-formulated several times since the launch in 1929, it is still known today as a medicine. Due to its persistant cures for things such as stomach aches.
Many people ask the simple question of "Why was the name "7up" chosen for a drink?". Most believe that the name was due to the fact that the pH of the drink has always been above 7.  Although this is not the case, the actual pH of 7up is only 3.8. The true origin of the name is still unclear to this day.
